Are you a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) that would like to become a Medical Assistant?

Come work for us and become a skilled Medical Assistant, Lamprey Health will provide you with a rewarding job and pay for your training to become a Medical Assistant.

Program consists of 4 to 7 months of training. Work during the day and complete your training after hours. - Starting Pay $ 18.00

Tuition will be paid by Lamprey Health Care. Successful completion of this program will require passing a final exam and demonstrating competency in selected skills.

Selected candidate must commit to up 40 hours a week on the job training and completing coursework nights and weekends online. Lamprey Health Care has three location (Newmarket, Raymond, Nashua) you would agree to a commitment of a minimum of two years of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of provider patient schedule, prepares the day’s team activities in an efficient, productive manner, and assists in maintaining timely visits by adequately preparing exam room.
  • Conducts pre and post procedure vitals as required.
  • Stocks exam/treatment rooms, reports any supply shortages, maintain adequate quantities to meet departmental demands; dispose of contaminated supplies and materials in the prescribed manner.
  • Assists with answering telephones, taking messages, scheduling appointments, tests, or procedures, arranging referrals, and performing other administrative duties to meet the needs of patients, co-workers and the department while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Uses the electronic health record to document clinical procedures in accordance with LHC standards as well as other accrediting bodies.
  • Demonstrates professional skills through proper communication and dress, ensures confidentiality, and promotes teamwork.

Qualifications:

High schools graduate or equivalent
